CHAPTER 5

THE EMBODIMENT OF DEATH

As everyone was celebrating Vincent turned to me and
asked me whether I also thought it wasn’t over yet. I told
him “yes, I don’t think it’s over yet.” Then suddenly
massive waves started to form.

“Commander, are you seeing this? What’s with these
huge waves?” Ronnie asked.

Everyone turned to see the ocean. The creature rose back
up! It was burnt with several chunks of its body completely
missing. It looked like something out of the Bible. Then
it started to shake violently before the chunks that were
missing not only began to heal but tentacles started to
come out of chunks. It was mutating! It grew wings, legs,
arms and essentially became a flying lizard that could go
on its hind legs if it wanted to.

“I told you we are going to die!” William screamed.

The commander ordered to start firing but the guy in
charge of the weaponry told him not to as it would attract
attention. But, oh boy, we already had it looking straight
at us before getting ready to fly. We are dead!

The helicopter took off and we were flying as fast as we
could. I closed my eyes from pure terror. My phobia of
heights really started to take its toll on me.
